1. CLEANLINESS:
Inside and outside. This is the single most important factor buyers use in forming their opinion of your boat’s condition.
2. ENGINE ROOM:
Clean engines and bilges reflect the level of care given by the owner.
3. LIGHT and UNCLUTTERED:
Remove personal belongings. Do all you can to make the interior light and bright.
4. THE HOLDING TANK:
"BE SURE" the holding tank is pumped out and deodorized.
5. CONDITION:
Obvious faults and in-operative equipment must be fixed or removed. Be honest and up front about any issues you know of or suspect. Hidden problems destroy deals.
6. SPECIFICATIONS:
Your broker needs accurate and complete specifications to properly market the boat. Buyers are put off by incomplete or incorrect data.
7. CENTRAL LISTINGS:
We recommend you assign us a Central Listing. When you do so, you
essentially "Leave the driving to us". We control the keys to your
boat. We control who goes on your boat. We qualify prospective buyers
and cooperating brokers. We know your boat better than any other
broker. We show your boat at times that are convenient to the
buyer...and at no inconvenience to you.
8. LOCATION:
Your boat should be visible and easily accessible. Talk to us about space at our docks.
9. HAVE PATIENCE.
If your boat is correctly priced it will sell. |
